THREE-STEP WORKFLOW
Add files or folders, choose the output settings, then convert. PixelFerry applies the same rules across the whole queue.
BUILT FOR REAL BATCHES
Keep the batch consistent, see every file’s own result, and retry only what needs attention.
Mix camera, design, phone and web formats without sorting them first.
Format, dimensions, quality and destination stay the same across the export. ICO output is sized by its embedded icon sizes, so the general resize control does not apply to it.
Targeting a file size searches quality values to fit it: JPEG, WebP, AVIF only, up to 8 attempts, down to a floor of quality 10. If even that overshoots it saves the smallest result and says so.
See completed and failed files, then retry only what needs attention.
WORKS WITH WI-FI OFF
Conversion happens locally. Originals are not modified, and image content is not uploaded.
PixelFerry processes image data on your Mac instead of sending it to a service.
Converted files are written separately, into the folder you choose.
Turn Wi-Fi off and PixelFerry still converts the whole batch.
FORMAT CHECK
PixelFerry reads 23 format families covering 76 file extensions, and writes 8. The full matrix says which are macOS-only and which are read but never written.
READS 23 FAMILIES · 76 EXTENSIONS
Those are the formats PixelFerry writes. Writing HEIC / HEIF needs macOS. Everything else it reads, including SVG, PSD, PDF and camera RAW, converts one way only.
Quality 1–100 for JPEG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC / HEIF. PNG uses lossless compression and PixelFerry writes TIFF with lossless LZW; GIF is a 256-colour palette. All output is 8-bit per channel.
